MCS Simon ShawSimon Shaw is now the longest-serving Premiership player, having first played against Wasps for Bristol when he was 17. He joined Wasps in 1997 and is now recognised as one of the best locks in the World.

2000 Shawsie become the only lock in Premiership history to score a drop goal, against Bath at Loftus Road. He was voted London Wasps Players' Player of the Season in 2003, and in 2004 won the Zurich Premiership Player of the Season Award. The 2006/07 season he celebrated his tenth season with Wasps with a Benefit Year, in which he raised funds for charities throughout the year.

Simon made his England debut in November 1996 against Italy. He has been on 3 British Lions tours most recently the 2009 one to South Africa where he played in his first two Tests, being named Man of the Match for a stupendous performance in the Second Test.

In June 2001 Simon scored his first two international tries for England against Canada, in Vancouver. He was initially left out of the 2003 World Cup squad but was later called out to Australia and returned with a winner's medal.

Simon played in every England game in 2007m and was included in the 2008 and 2009 Six Nations squads, following strong performances with Wasps. He has now won 52 caps, over a period of 13 seasons.
