Sarah Jane Buckley
Sarah Jane Buckley trained at The Guildford School of Acting and was soon to enter into the world of musicals and TV. Probably best known for her role as crazy Kathy Barnes in the hit channel 4 soap "Hollyoaks", Sarah can also boast an impressive array of hugely successful musical, pantomime and cabaret credits all over the world including her award-winning one-woman cabaret show and appearance at the age of 22 in the UK tour of "Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat".
Additional musical credits include, “Wonderful West End”, “Dancing In The Street” and “Twist and Shout” and further still, after starring in "Elvis the Musical" with fellow actress Jo Michaels, the two then formed the cabaret duo "The Polka Dots". This lively and exciting act toured with many comedians and artistes including the likes of The Chuckle Brothers and Joe Pascuale!
However Sarah’s talents don’t stop there by any means. Sarah can also be found presenting, particularly as an active ambassador for The Prince's Trust where she presents at many North West events to raise considerable funds for the worthy cause. This year Sarah Jane had the honor of presenting in front of Prince Charles himself and the Duke and Duchess of Westminster alongside Carol Vorderman and Jules Holland. Sarah Jane can be seen nationwide as the face of the Prince's Trust at www.tesco.com/princestrust.
In addition to acting, performing and presenting, Sarah also manages to find time to run TV Workshops around the country for aspiring actors. This comprehensive training employs her extensive skills, knowledge and experience of audition techniques, acting for camera, script work and confidence building.
Sarah is thrilled to now be working with Theatre Productions and couldn’t resist the opportunity of stepping into the iconic shoes of the legendary Eva Cassidy in this latest venture.
