Richard is an ex-civil servant and sales manager who 'escaped' in order to study acting at The Academy Drama School in 1998. On leaving in 2000, he has since appeared in theatre, film, television, commercials and, more recently, voice-overs. He is 41 years old but with his stature and personality often plays both younger and older characters, ranging from serious roles such as "Konstantin" (The Seagull) and "John Merrick" (The Elephant Man) to comic ones as diverse as "Puck" ( A Midsummer Night's Dream) and "Satan" (No Future In Eternity). His particular forte is comedy which has seen him perform in numerous roles in pantomime, commercials and in television.
