Michael J Ansley

Born and bred in Canterbury, Kent; cheeky chappy Michael began acting at age ten in amateur dramatics and continued to perform throughout his school education.

Graduating in June 2009 with a BA (Hons) degree from the Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts, his training included screen acting, Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ibsen, Pinter, Brecht, contemporary plays and musical theatre. Michael is a trained high Baritone singer, can play Piano to grade 5 standard and has recently started learning the Ukulele.

With experience in both writing and arranging songs for performance, Michael is also qualified to lead singing warm ups and able and willing to take on an assistant MD role.

Michael's skills include Scuba diving, Skiing, horse riding and he is an excellent swimmer.

Michael is comfortable playing either comedic or character roles and has experience in both comedic and straight improvisation.

Michael's native dialect is RP; other accents include heightened RP, Glasgow, Dublin, General American, Southern American, Cockney, and Lancashire.

Michael writes and performs his own comedy sketches and has recently moved into comic script writing for Television and Theatre.

This renaissance man has just finished touring the UK as Horace Vernet in ‘Wrecked’ and looks forward to what the future holds for him.
