Fashion Music TV

MCS Fashion MusicFashion Music TV is John Talamini and Tamara Letendre

John Talamini, Creative Director
Sensing a strategic shift in the fashion, music and related industries, John moved from his home in New York City to become a domiciled resident of the United Kingdom in 2001 where he formed the brand strategy company, Fashion Music in 2002. Fashion Music’s first account was BMG London, creating the Elvis Presley inspired fashion collection project. The concept, a fashion event to coincide with the release of the 2002 Elvis 30 number one album, received agreement from 30 international fashion designers who created one-off fashion designs inspired by a track of the album and involvement of the Princes Trust and Sotheby’s.

In 1980, John went to complete his studies at the Centre for Media Arts in New York where he majored in film & video, production & directing, post-production, writing and marketing. After graduation, John went on to work for USA television networks, NBC and ABC. Whilst working in Venice, Italy for a US soap opera, John was given the opportunity to videotape various fashion events in Paris. Seeing the need for television in this exciting medium, John returned to New York in 1989 and formed V2 Film & Vision. Among John’s achievements included directing a documentary for Harley Davidson, “The Ride” (a film about motorcycles, freedom & the open road), starring Lance Henriksen, featuring Stephen Baldwin, Joan Severance, Michael Parks and Academy Award nominee, Graheme Green. John also wrote/directed “The Art or the Cigar” starring Paul Sorvino, James Belushi, and Michael Nouri. After several years of steady growth, the US trademark and licensed name V2 was sold to the Virgin Group to make way for V2 Records in America.

At the height of the dot.com era, John was executive assistant to C. Chris O’Hanlon, the CEO of Australia’s first and largest strategic internet services company, Spike Networks. John also assisted in the creation of the rollout of the world’s first global, youth-oriented on-line radio station, Spike Radio.

After living in Australia, John returned to the US where he went on to complete the University of California at Berkeley Executive Programme which was created for executives to develop and sustain their organisation’s long-term competitive edge of new business realities and new forms of competition which refined conceptual and analytical skills to operate successfully in a complex and volatile global environment.
