Cole Dines
Cole Dines was born and bred in Dagenham to average working class parents. Dagenham has always been his home and Cole still resides there to this day.
Cole got the acting bug as a child and took part in amateur dramatic classes at school and his parents looked in to getting him in to Sylvia Young stage school way back then but through lack of funds it remained a dream.
After settling down very early in life and taking whatever work came his way to support his new family of his own, his dream of acting never left him, and he finally started to land tiny parts but through work commitments and yet more financial problems acting had to remain on the back burner.
After Cole endured his long term relationship break up and even endured a period of being homeless, this gave him even more desire to succeed Cole then started attending The Young Actors theatre in Barnsbury road Islington and then he attended Anna Schers which is where he still is a regular to this day. Anna’s mainly train in improvisation. Cole says “it is a great place for raw London talent, it’s raw as it’s from the streets, and not the stage school jazz hands types here, it’s gritty raw talent, people like me who have had the knocks in life, the money problems, people like me who have tasted desperate on a daily basis, and most importantly it’s people who are hungry to succeed, people that haven’t had the privilege of having parents being able to afford to send them to stage school, and so it makes us just that bit more eager to succeed as we haven’t had it easy and we’ve had to work harder to achieve our dreams, which I think in turn makes us better actors for it”.
Cole has worked on various productions and short films and taken part in many plays from his drama classes which he still does to this day. Cole has also has a talent for writing screenplays and has just written a pilot episode for a possible new drama.
Cole is an average man still trying to make his way, he is currently single, still resides in Dagenham he is massive Elvis Presley fan and actors he admires are Ray Winstone, Michael Caine, Bob Hoskins who incidentally Cole has been likened as a young Bob Hoskins. Harrison Ford and Samuel L Jackson are also among many of his favourite actors also.
"I bring a strong and creative performance to all productions that I am involved with. I have a versatility of both dramatic intensity and presence, ideal for those dark sinister characters and improvisation skills and comedic timing when needed. Given my look, I usually always play the "hard man, the villain", which I can play with great ease and give a very naturalistic and believable performance, whether it be for that "desperate man on the edge" character, or the "self assured authorative and assertive" character, or the "loose cannon-psycho" to the "sad/pathetic" character. Whatever the part demands, I can play it with ease and with an air of believability".
