Todd Carty

By the mere age of four, Todd was already gracing our screens in commercials such as Woolworths. However, his journey into show business quickly progressed playing the young Lionel Bart at the New London Theatre, Drury Lane for which Todd was described in the then Evening News as, "a star now, a comet to come". Television parts were soon to follow for young Todd and he instantly became a household name as the legendary Tucker Jenkins in the BBC's GRANGE HILL.

Due to Tuckers' popularity, upon departing the show, Todd was given his own successful BBC series TUCKERS LUCK and even a stage musical GRANGE HILL- TUCKERS RETURN. However Todd was keen to start perusing other ventures which included the Bafta Award-winning science fiction film THE CANDY SHOW and work alongside such actors as Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane. Todd couldn't escape the limelight for long as he soon became another household name as Mark Fowler upon joining the cast of EASTENDERS. After a hugely successful 13 year run, Todd decided to leave the show and cross over to ITV's long-running police series THE BILL as notorious evil policeman, PC Gabriel Kent.

Todd's recent high-profile credits also include the 4th series of ITV's reality show DANCING ON ICE. Though the first to admit he was no natural skater, Todd was delighted to be asked to appear on the show. After his ice debut, it became clear that it was Todd's popularity with the public, not his skating ability, which was to save him! Incidentally, one particular shaky performance of Todd's received more than one and a half million hits on You Tube! Phillip Schofield spoke of Todd at the end of one particular routine, "You have given me my most favorite moment ever on Dancing On Ice, Flippin Eck Tucker!" Todd was subsequently booked for the national tour!

Todd's passion for encouraging young actors into the business has also lead him to take more backstage roles such as recently directing the film THE PERFECT BURGER for the British Film Academy.
